Have a fake shop reported

Is a suspicious shop posing as your company?

We document the suspicious pages, investigate the technical infrastructure and submit traceable abuse reports to the responsible providers. We then follow up on the replies and check whether the reported content is still accessible.

Our work comprises technical investigations and the submission of documented facts. An individual legal review or the enforcement of your claims is not part of the offer.

  • DocumentedPage captures with retrieval time, technical metadata and SHA-256 checksums.
  • Checked one by oneEvery report is checked before sending for its factual basis, completeness and the right reporting channel.
  • Refund after 30 days€800 net per ordered shop. Without a confirmed result after 30 days, we refund the price paid for that shop.

When we can help

We investigate specific indications that a shop, for example:

  • falsely presents itself as your official website;
  • uses your company details to fake a connection with your company;
  • asks for login or payment details under a faked identity;
  • combines copied content with further traceable signs of deception.

The use of a brand name, of product images or of a former domain is not enough on its own to classify a shop as abusive. We do not carry out any individual review of trade mark, copyright or domain rights. Disputed questions of rights belong in the hands of lawyers.

Paid a suspicious shop as a private person? This offer is for businesses. Contact your bank or payment provider straight away and ask about possible chargebacks. You can also report the matter to the police and report the shop to a consumer protection organisation.

Service

Our services

01

Document pages

Once your order has been received, we start the technical capture of the pages named. As far as technically possible, we store screenshots and retrieved source code as well as URL, retrieval time, retrieval status and SHA-256 checksums. Failed or restricted retrievals are documented as well.

02

Investigate infrastructure

We determine publicly available details on the domain, registrar, hosting and upstream services. We also document uncertainties in the attribution.

03

Match details and observations

We compare the observed content with your details and documents. We distinguish between our own findings, customer statements and indications not yet resolved.

04

Report on the facts

Once the order has been accepted and paid, we submit approved reports through suitable reporting channels of the providers. The reports describe specific observations and contain the evidence required for them.

05

Follow up

We document replies, send reminders about open reports and use suitable further reporting channels. A complaint to ICANN Compliance is only considered for a specifically identified, relevant contractual obligation issue.

06

Report to you

You receive weekly status reports and a final report with observations, reports, replies and check results.

In five steps

Process

  1. Name addresses and observations.

You describe specific irregularities and submit any documents you have. We start the technical capture.

  2. Pay and receive confirmation.

You pay through Stripe. We check whether we can handle the order within the scope of our services and confirm the acceptance by email. If we do not accept it, we refund in full.

  3. Reports approved one by one.

After acceptance and payment, suitable reports are checked on their factual basis and sent.

  4. Follow up for 30 days.

For each shop, the period starts with its first report sent. We tell you when it starts and ends.

  5. Document the result or refund.

You receive a final report. Without a confirmed result under the terms of the order, we refund within seven calendar days.

Documentation

What the documentation says

A checksum allows a file to be compared later with the version documented by us. The retrieval time comes from our capture system.

A checksum alone confirms neither the time of capture nor the authenticity or completeness of the page content shown. We promise no independent time stamping and no particular evidential value in court.

Scope

Limits of the service

Not included are individual legal advice, the legal assessment of intellectual property rights, cease-and-desist letters, legal demands for payment or to cease and desist, negotiations about claims, representation in court, UDRP/URS proceedings and domain transfers.

If a matter requires such a review, we suspend the report concerned and inform you. Instructing a lawyer is up to you, separately.

Price

Price and refund

€800 net per ordered shop, plus VAT where applicable.

VAT, where it applies, is calculated on the payment page. Payment in advance through Stripe.

Included are technical investigation, documentation, approved abuse reports, follow-up for 30 days from the first report, and reports to you.

Without a confirmed result at the end of this period, we refund the price paid for the shop concerned, including VAT, within seven calendar days.

A redirect only counts as a result if it does not continue the objectionable activity or lead to it. Individual connection errors, blocks against our checking systems or mere search engine warnings are not enough.

You will find the exact check rules and the limited exceptions in the terms of the order. Further shops are only added after you have expressly ordered them at a charge.

Frequently asked questions

What businesses ask before ordering

Can you guarantee a shutdown?

No. The providers concerned decide on any measures. We take care of the investigation, the reports and the follow-up. Without a confirmed result after 30 days, our refund rule applies.

Who checks the reports?

We check the factual basis, the technical evidence and the right reporting channel. This does not involve an individual legal review.

When are the reports sent?

After your order has been accepted and paid, and after each report has been checked and approved. If necessary details are missing, we will let you know. The start deadline in the terms of the order applies to the first report.

What happens in a legal dispute?

We document the reply and suspend the report concerned insofar as an individual legal assessment becomes necessary. We do not conduct legal disputes for you. Such a suspension does not count as a stop requested by you.

What does confirmed result mean?

The documented objectionable activity is no longer publicly accessible at the ordered addresses and is not continued through redirects either. This must be confirmed in two checks at least 24 hours apart within the last 72 hours of the 30-day period. Unclear findings do not count as a result.

What happens with a new domain?

We inform you of the find. A new domain is only added as a further shop at a charge with your express consent. A redirect to a continued fake shop does not count as a confirmed result for the original shop and is taken into account for that result check at no extra charge.

Can you find out who runs the shop?

We investigate publicly available infrastructure information. Identifying the operators is not part of the service and often cannot be reliably derived from it.

When and how is the refund made?

Without a confirmed result after 30 days, we refund within seven calendar days to the original means of payment. The limited exceptions for a stop requested by you, or for demonstrably causal incorrect details or missing cooperation, are set out in the terms of the order.
